Activities and events for disabled children

It’s that time of year again parents, caregivers, and families. Fall is upon us and our children are going back to school. We’ve had all summer to schedule play dates and enjoy vacations. We’ve visited family and spent the night in watching movies. Now, we have work schedules and school schedules to juggle. We have a lot to do in a little bit of time. Seth’s Mom is here to help you find those activities and events for disabled children. We know you have a lot on your plate.

KEEN Greater DC special needs activities.. wait… who is KEEN?

Well, let us tell you. From the KEEN website

KEEN Greater DC (Kids Enjoy Exercise Now) is a volunteer-led nonprofit — 501(c)(3) — organization that provides one-to-one sports and recreational opportunities for children and young adults with developmental and physical disabilities at no cost to their families or caregivers.

KEEN Greater DC’s mission is to foster the self-esteem, confidence and talents of young people with profound disabilities through non-competitive programs allowing young people facing even the most significant challenges to meet their individual goals. KEEN also seeks to increase each young person’s ability to participate in a broader range of recreational activities and environments.

So what do they have going on?

Check it out. Go to their website. See their click here for their calendar for entire year. Swimming, basketball, bowling. They have it all. They also have activities and events for disabled young adults. HAVE FUN!
